All My Love Scallop Hearts Valentine's Cards
I can't get enough of the pretty All My Love Designer Series Papers! I wanted to feature may favorite patterns and this sweet scallop heart card spotlights them beautifully!
Background Basics—I embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock with the Quilt Top Texture Impressions Folder. I added a 4" x 1-1/4" Lovely Lipstick pattern from the All Is Love across the background. Before mounting everything onto a 4-1/4" x 11" vertically-folded Whisper White Thick cardstock, I wrapped some of the All My Love Lovely Lipstick Ribbon around the layers, securing them on the back with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I love that pretty white stitching along the edges of that ribbon!
6-Pack of Hearts—I die-cut six little All My Love DSP hearts using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. The die cuts a scalloped border and a faux-stitching around the edge, too! Adorable! I popped the hearts up onto a 3-1/2" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White using Dimensionals, then popped up the entire layer onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Forever Lovely Valentine's greeting in Lovely Lipstick ink onto a 2-1/8" x 3/8" strip of Whisper White. I fishtailed the left end, then adhered it to the hearts with SNAIL adhesive.
Finishing Touches—I colored a single Rhinestone Jewel with the Lovely Lipstick Dark Stampin' Blends Marker for a perfectly matched bit of sparkle!
Two Cool—I love that touch of Balmy Blue in this Designer Series Paper, so I used that as the background of my second card. Other than the color, the background is exactly the same as the original.
Happy Hearts—This time I selected just one of the All My Love DSP sheets and used the double-sided contrasting pattern for half of the hearts. I also discovered that the Rectangle Stitched Framelits had a size that was very close to the size of the original card, so I tried that! How awesome that we have so many handy rectangle shapes ready to go! I love that it also has stitching around the border, so it coordinates perfectly! Stampin' Up! coordination win!
