All My Love Piece of Cake Birthday Card

I received this swap card from Marisa Alvarez and it is so sweet!  I love how her card background starts in much the same way that Jodi's does.  

Background Basics—Marisa uses a delightful floral image from the Wood Words stamp set to randomly stamp her Soft Sea Foam card base in Soft Sea Foam ink.  Wow, that image really coordinates so well!  She then added two patterns of All My Love Designer Series Paper, measuring 1" x 2-1/2" and 1-3/4" x 2-1/2", to create a patterned block background. 

Pretty Piece of Cake—She stamped the Piece of Cake candles in Crumb Cake ink onto a 2-1/4" wide Whisper White Rectangle Stitched Framelits die-cut. It colored in with Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers.  Next, Marisa stamped the Piece of Cake cake image and cake stand image onto Whisper White cardstock in Crumb Cake ink.  She colored the cake with Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends Markers and Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends for the stand.  She punched them both out with the Cake Builder Punch and popped them up with Dimensionals.  She finished by adding some Wink of Stella glimmer to the cake icing décor, cake stand and candle flames. Just the right touch of sparkle!

Sweet Sentiment—She stamped the Piece of Cake sentiment in Crumb Cake ink onto a 2-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White cardstock.  One end is fishtail banner cut and the other she wrapped with Linen Thread and tied it into a bow. The sentiment layer is popped up with Dimensionals.  Adorable!
