I like to call this style of card a "photo album" card because it opens like the old photo albums or scrapbooks did. The sizes of the Floral Squares die-cuts are absolutely perfect for this style!
Background Basics—I started this card with a 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4" and 5-1/2". I secured the middle panel to the inside of the card with SEAL Adhesive. Then, I decorated the "spine" of the book with a 1" x 4" piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.
Sweet Squares—Using the color combination from the Pattern Party DSP, I stamped three 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" Basic White pieces of cardstock with Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Pale Papaya inks. I used different All Squared Away images for each one. Next, I die-cut three different die-cuts from Floral Squares Dies, all in Basic White cardstock. The die-cuts were adhered to the stamped backgrounds with Liquid Multipurpose Glue, then mounted onto the card front.Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the All Squared Away sentiment in Poppy Parade ink onto another 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" Basic White piece. On the video, I stamped the piece in Pool Party. Then, I die-cut three mini flowers in Poppy Parade cardstock and stuck them around the greeting with Liquid Multipurpose Glue. I finished by adding a Champagne Rhinestone in each of the mini flower centers.
Inside The Card—I stamped another All Square Away greeting in Poppy Parade onto the inside 4" x 4" Basic White piece. I also stamped the same squares from the front with the same colors to make a decorative in the corner.
Two Cool—My second card has a Crushed Curry cardstock base and a different strip of Pattern Party DSP on the spine.
Focal Point—I stamped these squares in Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue and Crushed Curry.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a different sentiment in Balmy Blue and accented with Flirty Flamingo mini flower die-cuts this time.
Inside The Card—I stamped squares along the bottom of this inside layer with the same inks from the card front. Loving these cool borders!
