Hi Stamping Friends!
I'm thoroughly enjoying the mixed metals trend right now and the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper lends itself perfectly to this elegant style! Today, I'm sharing a handy little Year of Cheer Post-It Notes holder that I created as a table gift for my Too Cool Team event this week. I think these notes would make a thoughtful little gift for co-workers and friends this holiday season! I may have to add a few to my craft fair line-up!
Speaking of Craft Fairs…I have one coming up tomorrow! If you're around Columbia City, please stop by and say hi!
Too Cool Stamping's 2017 Craft Fair Schedule:
- November 18—Indian Springs Middle School Yuletide Treasures Bazaar, Columbia City, 9am – 3pm
- December 2—St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Christmas Craft Fair, Fort Wane, 9am – 3pm

Next Stamparatus Reservation Window On December 5!
See Complete Details On This Amazing NEW Stamp Positioning Tool!
Mark Your Calendar For The Next Reserve Window! Wow! The NEW Stamparatus is a HOT, HOT ITEM! The first block of approximately 27,000 units was reserved in less than15 minutes! If you were one of the lucky ones to reserve yours…congratulations! I know many demos and customers who were not able to get one reserved in time. I know it's disappointing, but have patience…we will all get one eventually! There are two more reservation windows, with the next one coming up in a few weeks on December 5.
My Note About The Reservation Process—Remember, this is a pre-order that we normally would not have had—Stampin' Up! is trying something new to help get the product in our hands as quickly as possible. Rather than wait to officially release this product with the June Annual Catalog, Stampin' Up! made the responsible decision to create a staggered roll-out ahead of time to control the inevitable backorders on this high-demand item. If it had been released all at once, the inventory would have been depleted in minutes at that time, too, and they would have been dealing with having to ship costly backorders. The final design was still being tweaked just a few weeks ago, and production can only happen so fast. The staggered release gives them information about how many need to be made and allows time for the manufacturer to make the products in manageable batches.
Personally, I love that Stampin' Up! has an awesome product that is generating this type of excitement and I love that I will have the opportunity to share it's awesomeness with my stamping friends! I was also very impressed with how absolutely easy and painless the reservation process was for both demonstrators and customers who were able to get there right away. Even though we may have to be patient to get this cool tool in our hands, I am certain that it will be worth the wait!
Stay tuned! I will give you a heads up as the December 5 reservation window approaches.
All Year Cheer Mixed Metals Match Book Notes Holders
Copper & Silver & Gold & Champagne! Wheeee! I love all of those beautiful shiny metallics paired with a clean Whisper White background! They make these Post-It notes holders look so classy!
Match Book Holder Basics—This holder begins with a 3-1/4" x 8-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock, scored along the 8-1/4" edge at 1", 4-3/4" and 5". I adhered a 3" x 3" piece of the gorgeous copper patterned Year of Cheer DSP to the front flap.
Match Book Inside—I added a 1/2 stack of the 3"x 3" sticky notes flush along the score line, adhering it with Tear & Tape. Next, I folded the 1" flap up and stapled two times about 1/4" above the fold to create the closure. TIP: If you staple from the back, the prongs of the staples will be covered with the foil on the front.
Sweet Sentiment—I ran a 3" x 3/4" piece of Champagne Foil through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder, then adhered it to the closure flap, covering up the staples.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Wood Words sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto Whisper White scrap, sprinkled on Copper Embossing Powder and heat-set with the Heat Tool until glossy and smooth. I punched it out with the Classic Label Punch, then popped up with Dimensionals. Whoa…look at all that shine!
Sweet Snowflake—I stamped the Flurry of Wishes snowflake in VersaMark onto Whisper White, too, and embossed in copper. It's die-cut with the Layering Circles Framelits, then mounted onto a Champagne Foil scallop circle cut with the same dies. It's popped up onto he cover with Dimensionals. I finished with a Seasonal Layers Thinlits snowflake in Copper Foil, attached with a Glue Dot, and topped with a Metal-Rim Pearl Jewel. So elegant!
Two Cool—This version starts with Year To Cheer DSP in the pretty snowflake pattern. The snowflake is embossed in Gold Embossing Powder and layered onto a Silver scallop circle.
Finishing Touches—This time, I attached a Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon bow to the center of the snowflake with a Glue Dot. The closure flap features Silver Foil and Gold embossing on the sentiment.
Oooh! I'm not sure which one I like best, but probably the copper one. What do you think?
