Amber Autumn Pumpkins Thanks Card

The images in the Amber Autumn Bundle are so fun to color for lovely fall cards! I especially loved coloring these pumpkins and pairing them with the beautiful pumpkin toile paper pattern.

Background Basics

I started by adhering piece of that Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper to a Pecan Pie card base: 4″ x 1″ strip along the top; 4″ x 1-1/2″ piece along the bottom. Then, I embossed a 4″ x 3″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock with the Birch Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to the middle of the card front with SEAL Adhesive.

Fine Pumpkins

I stamped the Amber Autumn pumpkin image in Memento Black ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then colored it with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

  • Light Crumb Cake for the wheat.
  • Light Soft Sea Foam and Light Mossy Meadow for the leaves and corn husks.
  • Light Gray Granite and Light Pecan Pie for the corn kernels,
  • Light Pecan Pie for the pumpkin stems and vines.
  • Light Calypso Coral all over the pumpkin, then shaded with Dark Calypso Coral and Light Cajun Craze. The shading was blended with Light Calypso Coral.

I die-cut the pumpkins with the Amber Autumn Dies.

Before popping the pumpkins up with Dimensionals, I die-cut some Crumb Cake wheat and glued them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I also added a strip of SEAL Adhesive across the card and attached some Irregular Weave Trim on top of it, trimming the ends at the edges of the card front.

Sweet Sentiment & Finishing Touches

I stamped the Amber Autumn greeting in Mossy Meadow ink onto a Very Vanilla Stylish Shapes banner die-cut, then popped it up with a combination of SEAL and Dimensionals. Finally, I added a few of the Streaked Dots from the suite. Marvelous!
