The Art Gallery stamp creates beautiful blooms with layered stamping. I shared how easily you can change the looks of the flowers by simply changing the colors in the layers to match the color palette of the card.
Background Basics—This gate-fold style card begins with a 51/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Merry Merlot, scored at the 2-1/8" and 6-3/8" marks. I folded the front panels, lining up the two edges flush first, then using my Bone Folder to create the creases. I decorated the first panel with a 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper and the second panel with a 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" piece of Merry Merlot embossed with the soon-to-retire Scripty Embossing Folder.
Lovely Layered Stamping—I stamped the Art Gallery solid bloom image in Flirty Flamingo onto a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic White, then added the detailed image in Poppy Parade over the top. The cool thing about this set is that it's not meant to line up perfectly—there is lots of room for error! It's going to look great no matter how you stamp it! Next, I added the flower center image in Merry Merlot. I finished up by stamping the stem image in Mossy Meadow.
Sweet Sentiment—I chose a short sentiment to stamp in Merry Merlot ink next to the stem. You could always add a longer Art Gallery sentiment (there are so many good ones!) by adding a strip of cardstock or a die-cut Floral Gallery label along the bottom. I layered the stamped piece onto a 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow, then popped it up onto the left front panel with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I added three small Pearl Jewels to the flower center, as well, to add a little shine. Probably not necessary, but I like it!
Two Cool—My second card starts with a So Saffron gate-fold card base, decorated with a different pattern of Fine Art Floral DSP and a Basic White layer embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.
Flowering Focal Point—I stamped the bloom in So Saffron with Bumblebee for the detailed image and Night of Navy for the flower center. The stem is in Pear Pizzazz.
Sweet Sentiment—The Art Gallery sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink. I layered the piece onto Flirty Flamingo this time before popping it up on the left front panel. So sweet!
