The Golden Garden Specialty Acetate is sure to give your cards that special touch of elegance. I thought it worked beautifully on these two congrats cards…perfect for a special occasion!
Background Basics—The card base begins with a 5-1/2" x 7-1/4" piece of Pool Party cardstock, scored at the 3" mark. I decorated the front panel with a Pool Party painted pattern from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.
Next, I adhered a 3" x 4" piece of the Golden Garden Acetate to a 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Bermuda Bay. TIP: Position the SEAL adhesive onto the center of the acetate that will eventually be covered by the oval. The layers were then mounted onto the shortened card front with SEAL.
Fabulous Flower—I stamped the Art Gallery small flower bloom in Pool Party onto Basic White scrap, then added the flower center image in Bermuda Bay ink. I also stamped the stem in Pear Pizzazz. Both images were die-cut with the Floral Gallery Dies and adhered to a Stitched Shapes oval die-cut. If you don't have the Stitched Shapes Dies, get them quickly because they are retiring soon and are a true classic "must have" for your collection!
Fine Art Ribbon—I added SEAL adhesive to the back of the oval, then folded the gold sparkled Fine Art Ribbon across the back and trimmed the ends. The whole layer was then popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Art Gallery greeting in Bermuda Bay ink onto a Floral Gallery long Pool Party label die-cut, then trimmed the ends to fit. It's Adhered with SEAL on top of the flower stem.
Two Cool—For the second card, I began with a Petal Pink card base, decorated with a pretty Pumpkin Pie/Melon Mambo painted texture pattern from the Fine Art Floral DSP. I layered another one of the three different Golden Garden Acetate patterns onto Melon Mambo this time.
Beautiful Bloom—This bloom was stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink and accented with a Melon Mambo flower center. The stem is still in Pear Pizzazz.
Sweet Sentiment—I die-cut a Petal Pink label this time and stamped a longer sentiment on it with Melon Mambo ink. I trimmed the ends on this one, too.
