Artfully Layered Hey There Cards
While the Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper is so pretty and fantastic for a quick card, you can create your own beautiful backgrounds with the Artfully Layered images. That's what I did for these two layered stamping cards. .
Layered Stamping—I started by stamping a background onto a 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Basic White. First, I stamped the large Artfully Layers leafy branch in Soft Sea Foam three times. Next, I added large leaf in Just Jade about three times. Then I stamped the cluster of leaves in Mint Macaron randomly around the piece. Finally, I filled in the blank spaces with the text image stamped in Gray Granite.
Background Basics—I layered the stamped background onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Just Jade cardstock, then mounted both layers onto a Gray Granite card base. I created a foundation for the sentiment with a 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Pool Party that I embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I added a Pear Pizzazz die-cut created with the Tropical Layers Dies and adhered with Liquid Multipurpose Glue.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped an Artfully Layered sentiment in Gray Granite ink onto a Basic White Layering Circles die-cut. I added a strip of SEAL Adhesive directly onto the card front across the embossed layer and added a strip of the retiring Just Jade & Gold Braided Ribbon, fraying the ends. I popped the sentiment over the top with Dimensionals, then finished with a few Faux Sea Glass Shapes.
Two Cool—My second version is stamped in the same way using a different, neutral combination of colors: Crumb Cake for the branch leaves, Soft Suede for the large leaf, Smoky Slate for the leaf cluster and Gray Granite for the text image.
Background Basics—I layered the stamped background onto Basic Gray, then onto a Soft Suede card base.
Sweet Sentiment & Accents—The embossed layer is in Sahara Sand this time with a Basic Gray leaf die-cut. I added White Frayed Ribbon under the sentiment, which was stamped in Soft Suede. I finished by adding a few Classic Matte Dots.
