Hi Stamping Friends!

I brought my Convention make & takes home with me this year…I guess that makes them take & makes!  My favorite one featured a little tip on altering a flat Tag A Bags Gift Bag

into gusseted bag that can stand on it's own…

We used the cute printed tags, twine and mini clothespins from the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit to decorate the bag, plus a little Coastal Cabana Ruffled Ribbon.

Bundle It & Save—Order the Tag A Bag Gift Bags and the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit together in the Tag A Bag Bundle and save 15%.

The tag is stamped with an image from the the Tag It (wood) stamp, which we received in our Convention backpack.  Did you know that when you purchase this exclusive stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities?  We even got to see Ronald McDonald at Convention (pictured above with Shelli Gardner).

How To Alter The Tag A Bag

It's easy to created a gusseted Tag A Bag with just a few scores and snips!  Here's how:

Tag a bag - how to 1 copy

  • Using your Simply Scored tool, score in 1" from each side and 1-1/4" from the bottom of the bag.

Tag a bag - how to 2

  • Slice open the bottom of the bag by trimming off just a smidgen with your Stampin' Trimmer.

Tag a bag - how to 3

  • Make two slits along the bottom at the 1" score lines, up to the 1-1/4" score line.

Tag a bag - how to 4

  • Open the bag and fold in the sides of the bag.

Tag a bag - how to 5

  • Fold in all the flaps and adhere.
  • Option: I adhered a 2" x 2-7/8" piece of chipboard inside the bottom of my bag for reinforcement.
  • Decorate!

What a cute way to package up small holiday gifts and treats!
