Charming Day Happy Birthday Card

Another awesome color combination, brought to us by the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper! I CASEd the design from Julie Davison, who created a vertical version of this layout using a different pattern from the pack. Here is Julie’s card…(I still like her’s better)…

Background Basics

For my version, I began by adhering a 3″ x 4″ piece of Floral Charm DSP to a Mossy Meadow card base. Next. I stamped the Charming Day single flower image in Berry Burst over a 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Berry Burst cardstock. It’s mounted onto a 2-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

I die-cut a Charming Day branch in Basic White cardstock, cut it into two pieces and adhered it to the outer edges of the Mossy Meadow card front. Then, I adhered the Berry Burst square over the top with SEAL Adhesive.

Floral Focal Point

I die-cut two Mossy Meadow Charming Day small branches and attached those to the Berry Burst square with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Charming Day focal point flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock, then colored it with Stampin’ Blends Markers. The leaves are colored with Light & Dark Mossy Meadow Blends. The flower is colored in order: Dark Petal Pink, Light Timid Tiger, Dark Timid Tiger and Dark Cajun Craze. The images was then die-cut with the coordinating Charming Day die and popped up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment

I stamped the Charming Day sentiment in Momento Black ink onto a 2-3/4″ x 3/4″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock, popping it up with more Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches

I finished with a few Iridescent Foil Gems floating around the focal point. Sweet & pretty!
