This card features more patterns from the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper. Remember that, along with the Balloon Bash stamp set, you'll also receive a 1/2 pack of this awesome paper in your class kit! You'll use part of the paper in your kit for the class projects, then keep the leftovers to use on future projects! Sweet!
Background Basics—This card starts with a 5-1/2" x 4" Whisper White foundation. I adhered a 5-1/2" x 1-3/4" piece of the polka dot patterned paper at the top and a 5-1/2" x 2" piece of the paisley design at the bottom. The seam is covered with a 5-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Bermuda Bay card stock. Then the entire background is mounted on a Calypso Coral card base.
Sensational Sequins—I was excited to try out the new Bermuda Bay Sequins Trim on this card! I adhered a line of sequins with Multipurpose Glue. It really addes some shine to the card and complements the focal point beautifully!
Circle Medallion—I stamped the "HB" image in Mossy Meadow on a piece of scrap Whisper White, then die-cut it with the Circles Collection Framelits. I mentioned before how I cut this particular image apart so I could stamp the sentiment separately in Calypso Coral underneath. Still haven't regretted it!
The stamped layer is matted on a 2-1/2' Circle Punch shape. You definitely need to adhere this to the card front with Dimensionals, since it goes over the bulky sequins and wouldn't lay flat with SNAIL.
"HB" Accent—I stamped the same "HB" image again in Bermuda Bay ink, then hand-cut it with Paper Snips and popped it up over the top to create a multicolored image. I added a single sequin for some extra shine.
Beautiful Bow—I finished the card by adding a cute bow courtesy of the new Bow Builder Punch and another pattern from the Birthday Bash DSP. TIP: The bow is very Glue Dot intensive—you'll need 7-8 Glue Dots per bow.
