Stars At Night Best & Brightest Card
I’ve been wanting to share today’s two Stars At Night swap cards with you because the whole O Holy Night Suite is just gorgeous! Unfortunately, the two papers from the suite and the Star Trinkets have already sold out. However, the Stars At Night Bundle is still spectacular and can easily be combined with other papers and Gold Foil for a similar look!
This card was created by Laurie Krauss and it combines lots of elements from the entire O Holy Night Suite. The stars and the gold accents are simply stunning!
Background Basics
Laurie started by adhering 3-1/2″ x 2″ and 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ pieces of Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper (now retired) to a 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock. She wrapped some Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon (still available and carrying over!) around the layers, then mounted them onto a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. It’s all mounted onto a Very Vanilla Thick cardstock base with lots of Dimensionals.
Stunning Star
Laurie used the Stars At Night Hybrid Embossing Folder with Gold Foil to emboss and die-cut the beautiful, bright & shiny star focal point. It’s popped up with more Dimensionals and topped with a now retired Star Trinket. Did you know that with the Hybrid style embossing folders, it’s designed to die-cut and emboss with only one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine? Too Cool!
Sweet Sentiment
Next, Laurie stamped the Stars At Night sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto a Very Vanilla Stars At Night die-cut. It’s popped up to finish the card so beautifully!
If you did not get your hands on the Shining Brightly Specialty DSP, try substituting Joyful Specialty DSP, Tartan Foil Specialty DSP, Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP, Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes. Also Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Gems work well, too! I have all of these items listed below in the Supply List.
Stars At Night Merry Christmas Card
Laura Milligan sent me this elegant Stars At Night card that would also be so fun to reproduce! This one has fewer gold accents and a lovely vanilla and navy color combo.
Background Basics
Laura started by embossing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ Very Vanilla cardstock piece with the Stars at Night Hybrid Embossing Folder. She mounted it onto a Thick Very Vanilla card base. She added a 4″ x 1-1/2″ piece of Shining Brightly (retired) Specialty Paper across the top.
Shining Star
Laura embossed and die-cut (at the same time!) a second Very Vanilla layer with the Stars At Night Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies to get the focal point. It’s popped up with Dimensionals and topped with a retired Star Trinket.
Sweet Sentiment
Laura finished by stamping a Stars At Night sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto a Very Vanilla Something Fancy die-cut. She added some folded Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon behind the sentiment and popped it up with Dimensionals.
