Hi Stamping Friends!
I was in need of a graduation card for my niece, so I'm doing a little CASEing today (Copy And Share Everything). I love the fun of seeing a card that I think is Too Cool and duplicating it. It's quick, it's easy and is great when I don't have a lot of creative mojo happening! Do you CASE cards? I encourage you to feel free to duplicate any of the cards that I have on my blog! If you do…give me a shout out! I'd love to see what you've created!
Quick Update: I'll be closing reservations for my In Color Club and Paper Share on June 25, but don't wait to sign up! I'm going to do my best to continue to fill groups as long as I have interest until the deadline hits.

Beautiful You Dancing Graduate Card
I've seen many versions of this card all over the internet and I knew that I wanted to recreate it for my niece, Cassie. She was on a dance team when she was younger and has spent her high school years dancing with the color guard team. This card is PERFECT for her! The only thing that could have made it any better was to have the hair on the dancing girl realllllly long! I CASEd this specific version from Sharon Armstrong and you can see her video here.
Beautiful Dancer—I started by stamping the Beautiful You dancing girl image in VersaMark Ink onto a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped a Flourishing Phrases sentiment along the bottom in VersaMark, too. Then, I sprinkled on some Gold Embossing Powder and heat-set it with a Heat Tool until glossy & smooth.
TIP: Before stamping, use an Embossing Buddy to eliminate static and finger oils on your cardstock, so you won't have embossing in any unwanted areas.
Next, I colored in the image using Stampin' Blends Markers: Light Night of Navy for the gown, Light Petal Pink for the skintone, Light Soft Suede for the hair and Light Balmy Blue for the ground. Be careful not to color over the embossing, because it will leave color on the embossing (it doesn't resist like water-based markers).
Layering Basics—I mounted a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock onto a Very Vanilla Thick cardstock base for the card's foundation. Then, I adhered the stamped layer onto a 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece of Gold Foil with SNAIL and popped those layers up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Grad Cap—I cut a 1/2" square piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the mortar board cap. For the tassel, I tied two 2" pieces of White Baker's Twine into a knot, snipped off the strands on one side of the knot and colored the strings with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Marker. Once it was dry, I frayed the ends and attached it to the top of the cap with a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Too Cool—I love this card idea for any girl graduate…it wouldn't have to be for a dancer. You can customize it with the graduate's school colors for a fun and celebratory card!• • • • •
