Beautiful You Two-Step Trio Cards

The Beautiful You stamp set has two "swoosh" images that are designed to add a quick wash of color to the other images. They can either fill in the dress or skirt, act as a backdrop for a sentiment, or even become a shadow or puddle on the ground. I had fun playing with different swoosh color combinations for her dress. I love how it gives a faux watercolor, artsy look to the finished cards!

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Pool Party card stock with the Festive Texture Impressions Folder. I'm really liking to use the "debossed" side of textures these days, and I thought that this one reminded me of Broadway lights or streamers. I get the feel of paparazzi flash bulbs going off while she poses for the cameras! Be sure to use some extra-sticky adhesive, like Tear & Tape or Fast Fuse, to keep that textured layer securely in place.

Terrific Two-Step—I stamped the lady three times on a 4-3/8' x 3-1/8" piece of Whisper White with Memento Black Ink. I stamped the center image first, then stamped the outer images to help me space them out better. I also stamped the beginning part of the sentiment at the bottom right.

Next, I stamped that swoosh image in Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party. The layer is popped up with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I added a few floating Rhinestone Jewels around the center image. I finished her outfit by tying a knot in 1/8" Silver Ribbon and adhering the "faux bow" to her waist with a Glue Dot.

Inside—I finished the sentiment on the inside and added another stamp of the lady in the corner. Lovely!

Two Cool—For my second version, I embossed the Bermuda Bay background layer with the Petal Burst Folder. The debossed side reminds me of some kind of fun fabric texture that this lady's dress might look like up close!
