Biggest Wish Hand-Penned Blocked Background Cards

Here's a fun background that's perfect for featuring your favorite Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers! I chose the Hand-Penned DSP for both of these cards, and it's on sale for 15% off thru August 2!

Blocked Background—I cut four pieces of coordinating Hand-Penned DSP for the background and mounted them onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic Black:

2-1/2" x 3-1/4" floral piece
2-1/2" x 1-5/8" striped piece
1-1/8" x 1-7/8" scalloped piece
1-1/8" x 3" leaves piece

After tying some Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the background layer, I adhered it to a So Saffron card base with SEAL Adhesive.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Biggest Wish bold "happy" word in Highland Heather ink onto a Basic White Tasteful Labels die-cut. I added the cursive "hello" word in Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the top, then popped up the label with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—I finished the sentiment layer with a single Soft Succulent Genial Gems embellishment.

Two Cool—I selected some different coordinating papers from the Hand-Penned DSP pack for this second version. The blocks have the same measurements as the first card, I simply changed up the positioning for a slightly different look. The background is tied with Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon into a double-knot.

Focal Point—This time I stamped the "hello" word in stamped-off Misty Moonlight ink, along with a "friend" in Memento Black. I added a couple of Genial Gems on this version.
