Biggest Wish Hello Friend Cards
The beautiful patterns on the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Papers make a lovely backdrop for the Biggest Wish sentiments! I CASEd this layout from Laura Milligan and I love how it turned out!
Background Basics—I started by creating the faux-stitched background on a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White using the Stitched Greenery Die. Yes, it is a die…a single decorative die…which is different than we've ever had before. I adhered it onto a Flirty Flamingo card base. Next, I added a 4" x 3" piece of the Sweet Symmetry DSP.
Terrific Trim—I started by adhering a piece of the Just Jade & Gold Braided Weave Ribbon across the center of the card. I found out that you can pull this ribbon wider and the edges fray so beautifully because of the braiding.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Biggest Wish bold "hello" word in Flirty Flamingo ink onto a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die-cut. I added the cursive "friend" word in Night of Navy ink over the top, then popped up the label with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—A couple of gold Metallic Pearls add the perfect touch and play off of the pretty gold threads in the ribbon.
Two Cool—My second card starts with a Basic White layer textured with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and mounted onto a Night of Navy card base. I used a different pattern of Sweet Symmetry paper for the background.
Focal Point—This time the phrase was stamped in Calypso Coral and Night of Navy ink. Otherwise, everything else is the same.
