Birthday Cheer Featuring Detailed Birthday Edgelits

Hi Stamping Friends,

I have a couple of super-cute birthday cards featuring the fun Birthday Cheer Bundle to share with you today!

I love this birthday bundle because it has all the basic images you need to create a birthday card for any age, any gender! Plus, the images are so versatile for using with all kinds of cool techniques, like heat embossing and coloring with Stampin' Blends!

Today's cards put the spotlight on the Detailed Birthday Edgelits dies, and if you like what you see, I would order these dies right away! Stampin' Up! has announced that they are running low on inventory of the Detailed Birthday Edgelits and they expect to sell out before much earlier than anticipated.

Birthday Cheer Spectacular Celebration Card

Oooh, this card is so bold and fun! I think it would make a great masculine birthday, especially if it was one of those BIG birthday years! Haha!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Adhere the 4 x 5-1/4” Coastal Cabana cardstock to the front of the Basic Black card base.
Run the 3-1/4” x 3-7/8” Black piece through the Big Shot cutting the packages. Place Thinlit close to the top of the Black Piece to cut out, leaving a border at bottom.
Attach the gifts die-cut piece to the 3-1/4” x 3-7/8” Whisper White cardstock and trim along the packages on both sides with Paper Snips, so the Bermuda Bay layer shows through.
Using Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends and Lemon Lime Stampin’ Write Marker color through the open spaces of the packages.
Stamp greeting in Black Memento Ink in the top left area of the mat.
Attach the white finished mat to the Coastal Cabana Mat on the front of the card.
Add Rhinestones to the bows and a few of the circles on the tall package.

Birthday Cheer All About You Card

I received this cute Birthday Cheer card as a swap from Janice Weightman. Again, I think this would make a great masculine birthday card, but it would work for any age. It's also quick & easy to make!

Background Basics—Janice started by adding a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper to a Night of Navy card base.

Birthday Border—She used the Detailed Birthday Edgelits to cut out a festive cupcake border from Call Me Clover cardstock. She adhered it to a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock with Liquid Multipurpose Glue and trimmed off the ends so they were flush with the sides.

Sweet Sentiment—Janice stamped a Birthday Cheer phrase in Night of Navy ink under the border and another sentiment above the border.

Finishing Touches—She finished brushing some clear Wink of Stella shimmer inside the cupcake shapes and adding a few Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots. Quick & cute!
