That fun little two-stamp set on the second page of the Occasions Catalog makes super-cute birthday cards for any age and any gender!  Today, I'm sharing a couple of swap cards that exemplify exactly what I mean!

Darla's Birthday Wishes For You Card

Too Cool Team member Darla Eigenschink paired the Birthday Wishes For You images with the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper For a fun, all-ages birthday card!  She brought this card for our team to make at our last shoebox swap.
 
Background Basics—Darla's card begins by stamping the banner greeting in VersaMark clear ink randomly over the front of a Bermuda Bay card base.  Next, she adhered a 1-3/4" x 4-1/4" strip of Picture Perfect Party DSP to a 2" x 4-1/4" layer of Berry Burst cardstock, then mounted it onto the card base.

Fantastic Focal Point—Darla stamped the Birthday Wishes For You focal point image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 4-1/4" x 2" piece of Whisper White.  Stampin' Blends are amazing for coloring in this image!  She used light Pool Party Stampin' Blends on the top of the letters and blended it into the dark Pool Party color.  She colored the "happy" banner with the Lemon Lime Twist watercolor pencil, which comes from the Lots of Happy Project Kit, then smoothed out the color with a Blender Pen.  You could also use the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Write Marker.  The greeting is mounted onto a 4-3/8" x 2-1/8" layer of Lemon Lime Twist, then popped up with Dimensionals.

Finishing Touches—Darla brushed some Wink of Stella clear glimmer over the top of the letters and banner to add a little pretty shimmer.  She finished with a few Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins.  It looks like confetti!  So fun!

Mary Anne's Masculine Birthday Wishes For You Card

 
I received this fantastic Birthday Wishes For You card from a swap and it was created by Mary Anne Grimmer.  She put a masculine combination of papers and colors together from the True Gentleman suite.  I love it!


Background Basics—Mary Anne's card begins with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" quarter sheet of Night of Navy for a foundation. The Tranquil Tide card base is 8" x 5-1/4", scored at the 4" and mounted onto the card foundation with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The card front has two strips of True Gentleman Designer Series Paper: 1-1/2" x 5" and 2-1/4" x 5-1/4".  She added a strip of the Night of Navy 3/8" Corduroy Ribbon snipped to 5" and adhered across the seam of the papers with Tear & Tape.

Blended Birthday—Mary Anne stamped the Birthday Wishes For You image in Memento Black ink onto a 3-7/8" x 1-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then colored in the letters with the Night of Navy Stampin' Blends. She mounted it onto a 4" x 1-7/8" Crushed Curry layer and popped up the layer with Dimensionals. 

Finishing Touches—Lastly, Mary Anne stamped both images from the stamp set in Memento Black ink onto Crushed Curry cardstock, hand-cut them with super-sharp Paper Snips, then popped them up with Mini Dimensionals.  Very nice!
