I can't get enough of the Elements of Style stamp set. I've been delightfully surprised at all the different ways you can use it—it's very versatile! This time, I wanted to try something a little different, so I experimented with some non-Angie-like colors and a toile pattern. (Peggy, this one's for you!)
I used Pixie Pink card stock for the base, layered with a piece of the elegantly striped Groom Designer Specialty Paper. Be sure to click to enlarge to see the richness this paper! So classy looking!
The floral image from Elements of Style is randomly stamped in Basic Black over the card front and focal image. I added some Pink Pirouette color to the flowers on the first card. It's probably too light to see, which is a good thing, because it didn't work very well with the other colors.
I added some silver accents: Brushed Silver Card Stock to frame the main image, and some Silver Brads.
The sentiments are both from the Vintage Labels Sale-A-Bration set (no longer available). The ribbon is Black 1/4" Grosgrain.
National Scrapbooking Promotion Ends May 31
There's less than a week left to receive your FREE Designer Brads with the purchase of a qualifying stamp set! The featured sets were specifically chosen because they are fantastic for scrapbooks, but they work equally well for cards and other stamping projects! See the complete promotion details for the list of qualifying stamp sets.
Elements of Style is one of the sets in this promotion, so if you like it as much as me, now is the time to order for a little extra bonus! And, I would highly recommend choosing the beautiful Filigree Designer Brads (shown here) as your FREE item. They are like two-step brads, and the two sizes of filigrees and silver mini brads are all included in the package. They look really pretty with Rhinestone Brads, too!
Coming Soon!
June 1st is a big day in the world of Stampin' Up!—we'll receive the official list of this catalog's retiring stamp sets. We'll have one month left to order these sets, then they will be gone forever! *sniff* We'll also get a list of the retiring accessories soon, too. And, you already know about the retiring colors. Gosh, so many goodbyes… But, it all makes room for LOTS of exciting, new goodies to come our way! I can't wait to see what's in store when the new catalog comes out July 1!
