I’m back from a family vacation in Wisconsin and I’m slowly getting caught up and back to my stamping routine. Bloom Where You’re Planted Card

Here’s another one of the cards from my In Color Club. Love this cool joy fold, and I really love the DSP pattern!

Background Basics

I started with an 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at the 5-1/2″ mark. A second piece of Shaded Spruce measures 8-1/2″ x 3″ and is scored at the 4-1/4″ mark.

The larger piece opens backwards and I mounted a 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock to the inside of it. I then attached the smaller Shaded Spruce piece which opens like a regular card.

I added a 2-3/4″ x 4″ piece of Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper to the “joy fold” flap of the larger card base and a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Florals In Bloom DSP to the front flap of the smaller card base. Make sense?

Sweet Sentiment

The DSP was so beautiful that I just added a sentiment as the focal point on top. First, I die-cut the Sweet Blooms “bloom” word in Berry Burst cardstock and die-cut a coordinating Basic White outline. I layered them together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to make the word really pop, then I used Dimensionals to pop it up! I had to cut some of the Dimensionals smaller (I used the edging) on the smaller parts.

Next, I stamped the rest of the sentiment in Secret Sea ink onto a Basic White Textured Notes die-cut label and popped it up, as well.

Finishing Touches

I added a few Secret Sea In Color Flat Pearls around the card for pretty shine. Just perfect!

Inside The Card

I added a 4″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White on the inside, stamped with flower images from the Pretty Florals stamp set. The leaves are in Granny Apple Green and the flowers are in Berry Burst and Lost Lagoon inks. A nice finish!
