Yesterday's card reminded me of a favorite card I did a while back using the retiring Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set. The card, and stamp set, features a similar hydrangea image as the one found in the Because I Care Hostess Set, available in the new catalog on July 1.
There are many things that I love about this card: the colors (Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy and Mellow Moss), the masked background, and especially the use of the Top Note Die shape in combination with the gate fold and old Hodge Podge Hardware closure.
Card Details: The flowers are colored with ink pads and Blender Pens. I created a mask of the flower pot by stamping on a Post-It, cutting it out, and laying it on top of the same image before stamping the background, retired French Script.
TIP: Did you know that the Top Note die cuts have a perforated border, so if you cut along the perforated lines, it creates the perfect top layer on another Top Note shape? So easy!
