Hi Stamping Friends, 

You may not see many posts from me in the coming days, because I am heading to Florida to be with my dad.  He's in the hospital again with some very dire health issues, so prayers are greatly appreciated.  I'll try to pop in with some limited blogging and updates as I can.

I have canceled my "Last Thursdays" class next week, and have put my Stamp-of-the-Month and all other classes on hold until I know more.  My Paper Samplers will be shipping out on Monday, thanks to Michelle Hoover.

Bloomin' Love Sponged Heart Cards

Today's project was my favorite from my recent Bloomin' Love Stmp-of-the-Month class. 

Background Basics—I randomly stamped the Bloomin' Love floral image in Blushing Bride ink on the 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" piece of Blushing Bride card stock.  Then I added some Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper in a matching pattern to half of the background. It's matted onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White.

I added a Whisper White Stitched Satin Ribbon along the DSP seam with the edges tucked behind, then mounted the background on a Crumb Cake card base.  I created a focal point foundation with the Lots of Labels Framelits in Rose Red card stock.

Sponged Heart—I love the soft, blended color on this Bloomin' Love floral heart!  It's really easy to do with the help of Sponge Daubers! 

First, I inked up the entire image in Blushing Bride ink.  Then, I used a Sponge Dauber to add Crumb Cake ink to the leaves and Rose Red ink to the blooms before stamping onto Whisper White card stock. 

The image is hand-trimmed with super-sharp Paper Snips, then popped up with Dimensionals.  I topped the flowers with Pearl Jewels in the centers.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Bloomin' Love banner image in Crumb Cake on Whisper White, then stamped the sentiment with Rose Red on the inside.  You can either hand-cut this banner, or use the coordinating framelit that comes in the Large Numbers Framelits.  It's popped up with Dimensionals, too.

Two Cool—I changed the DSP orientation on this second version.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
