Hi Stamping Friends!

I've enjoyed playing with the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper for a couple of projects, but I am so in love with the gorgeous patterns and colors from the Blooms & Bliss DSP!

I think part of the reason that this DSP appeals to me is because it matches my Too Cool Stamping logo…which is designed in all of my favorite colors!

Blooms & Wishes Blissful Bouquet Cards

So today, I created a couple of cards using the awesome Blooms & Bliss paper, and I didn't even use the best patterns!  I stuck with the more subtle, companion patterns that look fantastic with the images from the coordinating stamp set Blooms & Wishes!

I love this stamp set!  I used the sweet small flowers for these cards, but I'm also loving the larger watercolor-looking blooms which are about 2" in diameter!  Can't wait to try those for a beautiful card background!

Background Basics—I started by adding a light-colored 4-1/4" x 3/4" piece of Blooms & Bliss DSP along the bottom of the Rich Razzleberry card base.  Next, I adhered a 1-3/4" x 5-1/2" strip of darker Blooms & Bliss DSP onto a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock and added that to the card front.

Circle Layers—I used the new Layering Circles Framelits to create the focal point.  I used the largest scallop circle for the Peekaboo Peach bottom layer, then the next smallest circles for the Sweet Sugarplum & Whisper White layers.

Wishful Blooms—I stamped the Helping Me Grow sentiment onto the white circle in Rich Razzleberry ink first, to help with the positioning of the flowers.  Then, I stamped three of the each of the small Blooms & Wishes small flower images in three different inks:

  • Flirty Flamingo for the largest flower, stamped three times making sure to have the centers showing on the circle.
  • Peekaboo Peach for the next skinny flower, stamped three times.
  • Sweet Sugarplum for the smallest flower to fill in the spaces.

After adhering all of the layers, I popped up the focal point medallion with Dimensionals onto the card front.

Finishing Touches—I punched out a Bitty Butterfly from the darker DSP, adhered it with some Glue Dots and bent the wings up.  I finished by adding medium Pearl Jewels to the largest flower centers, and the mini Pearls to the butterfly body.

Two Cool—For my second card, I used some of the other small patterns from the Blooms & Bliss DSP to set the color combo: Island Indigo, Mint Macaron & Sahara Sand.

I used a different Helping Me Grow greeting, but otherwise it's exactly the same recipe.
