Whew, it's good to be back! Little did I know when I posted last Wednesday that I was about to embark on a 5-day flu-cation. Certainly, not my favorite way to get some time off. Dang, I haven't been that sick from the flu since I was a child. It totally knocked me down. I'm finally feeling more myself today and eager to get back on schedule!

Blossoming Basket Bundle With Blends Cards

Background Basics—I started by embossing a 5-3/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Basket Weave Dynamic Texture Impressions Folder. This is one of those extra-deep folders that works best when you mist the cardstock a little with water to loosen up the fibers. The layer is adhered to a Very Vanilla Thick card base with a couple of strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the top and bottom and SNAIL adhesive for a secure hold.

Next, I punched the end of a 5" x 1-1/2" strip of Old Olive cardstock with the Triple Banner Punch and attached it to the card front. I added a 5" strip of Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon over the top of the banner with SNAIL, then trimmed the end.

Blended Blooms—I stamped the Blossoming Basket image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla, then colored it with Stampin' Blends Markers. I colored the basket with Crumb Cake, flowers with Calypso Coral & Daffodil Delight, and leaves with Old Olive. Color TIPS: I color over the whole area with the light marker, add some shading detail with the dark marker, then blend out the areas with the light marker again.

I stamped the butterfly on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock, colored it with Bermuda Bay markers and cut it out, then adhered it with a Glue Dot.

The focal point layer is matted onto a 3-3/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Soft Suede card stock, then popped up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Blossoming Basket sentiment in Memento Black Ink onto a 2-1/2" x 1/2" strip of Very Vanilla, fishtailed the end with Paper Snips, then adhered it over the top of the basket.
