Hi Stamping Friends!
One of my favorite techniques to do with the Blossoms In Bloom large floral image is sponging on ink for multi-color flowers! Today, I'm sharing a couple of cards I featured during my LIVE Class with this fun technique. I have all the details below and you can watch the technique in action on the class replay.

Blossoms In Bloom Sponged Flowers Cards
Bring the Blossoms In Bloom flowers to life by sponging multiple colors on the stamp before stamping onto the paper! This technique is so much fun to experiment with different color combinations! I created a lighter, more subtle image for the first card, then stepped it up with bold bright colors for the second card. So fun!
Sponged Flowers—I inked the Blossoms In Bloom large floral image first with Seaside Spray, then I used a fingertip Sponge Dauber to dab on some Highland Heather ink around the center of each bloom. I stamped the images onto a 3-3/4" x 5" of Whisper White cardstock. TIP: Always start with the lighter color, then dab on the darker color for minimal ink pad contamination.
Next, I stamped the dotted flower centers in Misty Moonlight ink and added some Mint Macaron leaves around the flowers and in some of the blank spaces between the flowers. I layered the stamped piece onto a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Night of Navy mat. I also added a 1/2" x 5-1/8" strip of Seaside Spray cardstock that is embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
Finishing Touches—I tied some of the new Flowers For Every Season twine around the layers. I love this new twine! It's Misty Moonlight & White twine wrapped with a silver thread for a little bit of shine. The layers are mounted onto a Misty Moonlight card base. I used my Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends Marker to color a few Rhinestone Jewels and sprinkled them around the flowers, too.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Blossoms In Bloom greeting in Misty Moonlight ink onto a Purple Posy banner die-cut with the Tasteful Labels dies, then popped it up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—For the bolder card, I inked the Blossoms In Bloom image with Magenta Madness first, then sponged on Gorgeous Grape.
The leaves are in bright Granny Apple Green and the flower centers are in Mango Melody. I layered this piece onto Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
Finishing Touches—This time, I tied the pretty Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the layers before mounting them onto the Magenta Madness card base. The Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins has some lovely bold colors that matched this card perfectly.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Blossoms In Bloom greeting in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a Bumblebee Stitched Rectangles die-cut and popped it up with Dimensionals.
Which color combo appeals to you the most: Soft & Subtle or Bright & Bold?
