Trace around the template onto your Designer Series Paper. I would definitely test out your template on a scrap piece first to make sure it's the correct size, so you don't waste any of your good paper! When you cut it out, I found that I didn't need to worry about cutting the bottom at all, because I just trimmed that piece once it was on the cup.
Adhering The DSP—I found that I only needed to add Tear & Tape to each end, not all the way down the length of the DSP. This will allow you to have lots of wiggle room, so you can line up the DSP perfectly. I apply it by holding the middle of the DSP on the cup, then carefully wrapping each side around.
Watch the Facebook LIVE video to see exactly I did it! I walk you through step-by-step!
I decorated some of my Sweet Cups with the tiny butterfly pattern of Botanical Butterflies DSP.
Decorating The Lid—I used the Layering Circles Framelits to die-cut a circle of Botanical Butterflies Lemon Lime Twist patterned paper and layered it onto a Lemon Lime Twist scallop circle. It's adhered to the lid using Tear & Tape for a secure hold.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Incredible Like You sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a 3" x 1" piece of Whisper White, trimming the end into a fishtail. I popped that up with Dimensionals onto the lid.
Beautiful Butterflies—That one pattern in the Botantical Butterflies DSP has gorgeous butterflies in all kinds of colors and shapes! I used my Paper Snips to hand-trim those out and add them to the top of the lids with a couple of Glue Dots under the body. I lifted the wings so that looked like they have alighted onto the cup! Beautiful! I punched the smaller butterflies out of another pattern of DSP using the Butterfly Duet Punch. No stamping or coloring involved! I finished by adding a gold Faceted Gem to the large butterfly.
Two Cool—Half of my cups were decorated with the wildflowers pattern of the Botanical Butterflies DSP, which is my favorite!
This set had Highland Heather DSP and cardstock circles on the lid and Granny Apple Green ink for the sentiment.
Dozens of Butterfly Varieties—I LOVE how many different butterflies are on this sheet! Let's take a look a several (but not all!) of the varieties that adorned my cups!
