I've been itching to share a couple of cool cards, but each project features a product that's currently on backorder. So I decided that I'll share them anyway and take this opportunity to do a quick backorder and "sold out" update. There is just something about the black & white gingham paper from the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper pack, but it's an exceptional pairing with the wildflower butterflies pattern from the same pack! Background Basics—Talk about fast & simple! This card begins with a Part of My Story sentiment stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the right side of a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. This stamp set is another Sale-a-Bration item you can select for FREE with a $50 order. A 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" piece of the wildflower Botanical Butterflies paper was adhered to the left edge and a 1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of the checked pattern was adhered next to it. The layer is mounted onto a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Basic Black then added to a Whisper White card base.
Finishing Touches—I punched the pre-printed butterfly from one of the Botanical Butterflies DSP patterns with the Butterfly Duet Punch. It's attached to the card front with a couple of Glue Dots in the center and the wings were bent upward. I finished with a few Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins floating around the sentiment panel. Adorable & easy!

Two Cool—Today's second card uses the same DSP for a stepped up birthday-themed, fancy fold card! It was a swap card that was sent to me from Jeanne Kooker.
Background Basics—This is a two-part card base that begins with a 7" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic Black cardstock, scored at the 2-3/4" mark along the 7" side. That front panel is decorated with a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" strip of the wildflower Botanical Butterflies DSP.
Inside The Card—The second card base piece measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" and is scored along one side at the 1/2" mark. This piece tucks behind the 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock that is inside the card and I would use Tear & Tape to adhere it for a secure hold. The Piece of Cake sentiments are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the right side is decorated with a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" strip of the checked Botanical Butterflies Paper.
Cool Cake—The Piece of Cake candles were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a Whisper White Rectangle Stitched Framelits die-cut. Looks like they were colored in with Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Markers. The rectangle is adhered to the black flap with SNAIL.
The cake image was stamped in Memento ink onto Whisper White scrap, colored with Highland Heather Stampin' Blends, punched out with the Cake Builder Punch and popped up with Dimensionals. I love how the cake stand is stamped onto Silver Foil with Black StazOn Ink, then punched out with the punch and popped up.
Finishing Touches—The cake is decorated with a tiny butterfly that was punched from the Botanical Butterflies DSP with the Butterfly Duet Punch. It's attached with Glue Dots and topped with a single Rhinestone Jewel. Some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon was tied around the front flap and a couple pieces of the colorful Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack were tied into the knot for a pop of color! What a fun card!
