Bold & Beautiful Botanical Gardens Blooms

The new Botanical Gardens Thinlits create some really fun & unique die-cuts that are perfect layering. I found this beautiful, contrasting card design online and I immediately wanted to try it for our team's shoebox swap.

Background Basics—I started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock that I die-cut with the pretty Botanical Gardens leaves edgelit for a bold, unique border against the Basic Black card base.

Beautiful Bloom—The large Botanical Gardens Thinlits is die-cut from Island Indigo. Check out that awesome double-petal cut! I lifted the centers of the petals a little bit to give it more dimension, then adhered the flower with a Glue Dot. I topped the flower with a Bermuda Bay flower from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and a large Rhinestone Jewel.

Tiny Flowers—I punched out 5 more tiny Bermuda Bay flowers and adhered them along the leaves border, also topped with Rhinestones.

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped a Rose Wonder greeting on the bottom in matching Bermuda Bay ink.

Card Inside—I added another Rose Wonder greeting on the inside, as well as a couple of flowers from the same set, both stamped in Bermuda Bay.

Two Cool—My second card is identical to the first except it uses different colors.

Two Tones—This time, I used Rose Red for the large flower and Melon Mambo for the tiny blooms.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.

Ink—Bermuda Bay (card #1), Melon Mambo (card #2) Classic Ink Pads
