Hi Stamping Friends!

Today, I'm featuring a card created by Janet Shinn for our recent Too Cool Demo Team swap.  There is no way I can do this card justice with the photos—it is simply stunning in real life!

CASEd from Carol Payne at Stamping Rox My Fuzzy Blue Sox.

The deep Blackberry Bliss and the golden accents combine for a rich, elegant card that is perfect for the holidays or any special occasion!

Background Basics—Janet embossed a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Blackberry Bliss with the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder, then wrapped the luxorious Gold Satin Bow around that layer.

TIP: It's really a two-piece faux bow!  Tie a small piece of the ribbon around a longer piece to make the knot, then secure the ends of the longer ribbon around to the back of the card stock.

She framed that layer with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White, then adhere the background onto the Blackberry Bliss card base.

Sparkling Stars—Janet used the Star Framelits to cut out a large and small star from the Champagne Glimmer Paper.  She said that she tried the Gold Glimmer Paper, but she liked the warmth of the Champagne color better with the other gold accents.

Embossed Star—She used the medium star from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set to make the gold embossed layer.  Notice how the pattern goes so well with the Beautifully Baroque background texture.  That's no accident!  It's another fine example of Stampin' Up! coordination!

TIP: Be sure to use the Embossing Buddy before you emboss to avoid all of those unwanted gold flecks caused by static and fingertip oils.  After rubbing your card stock with the pad, stamp the image in VersaMark, add your gold embossing powder, and heat until smooth & glossy.

Each layer of stars is adhered with Dimensionals.

Lots of Possibilities!  I absolutely adore the purple color on this card, but this is an awesome design for any jewel-tone color!  You could easily swap out Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, or Baked Brown Sugar.  It would even look amazing with a neutral like Very Vanilla!  Or, swap out the gold for silver accents to create even more color options!

And, think of outside of the holidays to weddings, anniversaries, bridal showers, and other special occasions for this style of card.  Stars can represent so many types of celebrations!
