Hi Stamping Friends!

If you like layers and textures and details, then I have a treat of a card for you today!

One of the newest members of my team, Nancy Korb, recently participated in our Too Cool Team Swap and boy, oh boy, did she go all out!

I Love Our Team Swap!  I have to take this opportunity to shout about our Too Cool Team Swap!  Every other month, our Too Cool Team members from all over the country can participate in our Team Swap.  They make full cards or 3D projects in that month's theme using current Stampin' Up! products.  Members who aren't in the Fort Wayne, IN, area send in their creations by our event date and then I mail them back swaps from the other participants.

It's SO MUCH FUN to see what everyone creates!  Swaps are one of my favorite things we do as a team and I especially love this one because I get to share with my team members that I don't get to see face-to-face.

Want To Swap With Us?  Simply Join My Team and I'll send you all the details!

OK, let's see what Nancy sent for our team swap…

CASEd from Janine Tinklenberg at Stamps, Paper, Scissors.

Everytime I look at this card, I find new, loving little details that Nancy added!  It's so warm and antiqued and textured and sparkly!  It personifies the feeling of Christmas to me!

Post Card Background—Nancy started by stamping the Post Card background stamp in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla card stock, then trimming it just outside the post card line.

Stunning Star Details—The Bright & Beautiful star image was stamped onto the post card with VersaMark ink, then clear embossed to a glossy sheen.  Nancy brought out the details of the star by sponging Crumb Cake ink over the top.  Woohoo—emboss resist is my favorite technique!

She topped the star with a 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch of Champagne Glimmer Paper, popped up with Dimensionals.  On top of that, she added a small star from the Bright & Beautiful set, stamped in Mossy Meadow and die-cut with the Star Framelits.  A Rhinestone Jewel, colored with the darkest color of Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Marker, sparkles in the center of the star.

Decorative Edges & Background Layers—If you look closely, you'll see that Nancy even created a decorative border on her 5-1/4" x 3-3/4" Cherry Cobbler layer by trimming it with the Tiny Wave Rotary Blade on the Stampin' Trimmer.  So cute!

All of the layers are adhered to a Mossy Meadow card base.

Postage Stamp—Up in the right hand corner, Nancy added a fun accent that resembles a postage stamp!  She stamped the small star and greeting in Mossy Meadow onto Very Vanilla and punched it with the Postage Stamp punch.  After sponging the edges with more Crumb Cake ink, she added another Daffodil Delight colored Rhinestone and popped up the element with Dimensionals.

Background Stars—This is a great photo of one of the random small Bright & Beautiful star images she stamped all over the background in Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow inks.  Each one is accented with some Dazzling Details glitter glue.

Label Accents—Finally, she added another embellishment on the lower right for balance.  She punched a Modern Label shape from Cherry Cobbler card stock, sponged it in Soft Suede.  It's accented with a Candy Dots Brad Base filled with Gold Glitz Dazzling Details glitter.

TIP: Nancy shared that you may have to snip the brad prongs off a bit so that they don't stick out, or simply fold both to one side.  If you have the old Craft & Rubber Scissors, those are great for cutting off prongs.  But, DO NOT use your Paper Snips, because you may hurt the blades.  Find some plain old utility-type scissors instead.

The label is wrapped around the edge of the postcard layer and adhered with a Glue Dot.

The Insides—Nancy even decorated the inside for our swap cards!  She used the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch on the corners and images from the Bright & Beautiful set.  Very nice!
