Build-A-Bear Sleeping Bag Card

BAB Sleeping Bag (2)

Today, there's no stamping—only die-cuts and punches!

My niece, Abbie, turned 4 this week and I needed to make a birthday card for her, so I played with my Build-A-Bear Workshop Collection.  I had SO much fun and I think it turned out simply adorable!

I found the idea online in this cute boy version. It was created by Monika
Davis
and featured in my Stampin' Success demonstrator magazine.

I used the Top Note Bigz Die with the Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper, to create the sleeping bag.  The pillow was cut freehand out of a coordinating paper from that same package.  The flowers were punched with the Flower Trio Punch, same paper.

The Bear Bigz Die is exclusive to Stampin' Up! and can be dressed up as a boy or a girl depending on the patterns and colors of paper you use with the Beary Essentials Bigz Die.  And, look at all the little pieces that can be mixed and matched for the outfits!  Two pair of shoes, pants, a shirt with sleeve trim, a jacket and a skirt!  .

The pajamas were made with Pawsitively Prints, too!  I have to say I'm really digging this paper!  The small patterns are not only perfect for the Build-A-Bear projects, but they make fabulous backgrounds for cards and flower punches, too!

The picture of all the designs doesn't do it justice, because the patterns are so small they don't show up very well.  Trust me, if you like the color combination, you'll love this pack.

I used the Scallop Oval Punch to create the lace trim on the PJs.

Although I didn't use them on this project, you can find even more die cuts to accessorize your bears!

Beary Girl gives you a bow, heart, flower, purse and belt.  Beary Boy has a cap, star, and camping bag with a shoulder strap.  You can even dress up your paper bear for the holidays with Beary Lovely Valentine's, Beary Hoppy Easter, Kooky Spooky Halloween, or Beary Merry Christmas accessories.

So much fun for you…oh, and probably your kids or grandkids, too!
