Butterfly Brilliance Thinking of You Cards
The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is unique in that it is only one stamp that includes all 6 images of butterflies in various sizes. There is also just one of the Brilliant Wings dies that will cut out all six butterflies in one pass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I stamped the images onto several pieces of 5" x 6-1/4" pieces of Basic White cardstock and die-cut them out, so I had lots of butterflies ready to color and add to my projects! After you have those ready to go, the rest of the cardmaking is super-quick and easy!
Background Basics—I stamped the Butterfly Brilliance images in Mango Melody ink onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White and mounted it onto a Mango Melody card base. Next, I texture embossed a 1-1/4" x 5-1/4" strip of Basic White with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder and added that onto the card front. I tied some Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the card front and tied it into a double-knot.
Sweet Sentiment—There are no sentiments in the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set, so you can use any that you have on hand. I stamped a greeting from the Happy Thoughts stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a Basic White Stitched Shapes circle die-cut. It's popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
Bitty Butterfly—I selected the second smallest stamped butterfly image to color with Mango Melody, Calypso Coral and Gray Granite Stampin' Blends Markers. It's adhered with SEAL adhesive onto the circle. I brushed on some Wink of Stella for some shimmer and shine. I finished up with a few Artistry Blooms Sequins in a coordinating color.
Two Cool—I received this swap card from Janice Weightman that had some very similar elements to my card. Her card begins with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mint Macaron cardstock, stamped with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp in Mint Macaron ink. Janice added some White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon across the middle, securing the ends on the back, before mounting the background onto a Thick Basic White card base.
Sweet Sentiment—She also had a Basic White Stitched Shapes circle, and she added a greeting in Bermuda Bay ink from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set.
Finishing Touches—For a quick focal point, Janice die-cut the butterfly from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper with the Brilliant Wings dies. It's popped up with Dimensionals. The card is adorned with Pearl Jewels.
