Happy Birthday, Gorgeous Tag Cards

I'm truly going to miss the sweet blooms and pretty sentiments from the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set when it retires on June 3. I used several soon-to-retire items on this card and one brand new item…can you spot it?

I created this delightful pair of cards and we'll be creating one of them at my "Last Thursdays" card class on May 30. RSVP here.

Background Basics—I embossed a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock with the retiring Striped Scallops embossing folder, then mounted it with Tear & Tape Adhesive onto a 4-1/4" x 11" vertically-folded Coastal Cabana card base.

Layered Flower—Next, I adhered a 4" x 1-1/2" piece of the retiring How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper along the bottom. I wrapped some retiring Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8" Reversible Ribbon around the card front and tied it into a double-knot faux-bow.

Focal Point Tag—I started by punching the top of a 2" x 4" piece of Whisper White with the NEW Delightful Tag Topper Punch. It works just like the current and carrying over Scallop Tag Topper Punch and I'm so excited to get another choice in styles! Love it!

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White scrap and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch. I used that to help me position where to stamp the bouquet of flowers.

Beautiful Bouquet—I stamped the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous bitty blooms over the tag so that they would be peeking out from under the sentiment label.

Stamp the branch twice in Highland Heather ink.
Stamp the larger flower three in retiring Berry Burst ink.
Stamp the smaller flower in Coastal Cabana 3-5 times.
Stamp the curly line in Granny Apple Green to fill in the blank spaces.

I popped the sentiment label onto the tag with Dimensionals, then popped the tag up with Dimensionals onto the card front. I had a little bit of extra space at the bottom of the tag, so I added the "to you" sentiment in Memento Black.

Finishing Touches—I tied a Silver Baker's Twine Bow and attached it at the top of the tag with a "pinched" Glue Dot. Then, I finished by adding a trio of Rhinestone Jewels floating around the flowers.

Two Cool—My second version starts with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock embossed with the retiring Petal Burst embossing folder. I added the same DSP to the bottom and tied some Whisper White Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the card front this time.

Terrific Tag—The tag is essentially the same, except I swapped out the Berry Burst bloom with Calypso Coral ones and I mounted the tag on the left side.
