Debbie - cookie cutter halloween

Created by Debbie Groulik.

Oh, Happy Day Scarecrow Card

Debbie Groulik created this fun scarecrow card for our Too Cool Team to make at our last shoebox swap.

Background Basics—She started by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the Woodgrain embossing folder, then adhering that onto a Crumb Cake Card base.  I love that Debbie used a Swirly Scribbles Thinlits die to cut the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper accents!  She cut the die-cut in half and re-positioned them to peek out a little more on each side under the banner.  It's adhered with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

Sweet Scarecrow—She stamped the Cookie Cutter Halloween scarecrow in Memento Black Ink onto Sahara Sand card stock, then colored him in with Classic Inks and a Blender Pen in Tempting Turquoise, Cajun Craze and Delightful Dijon. He's punched with the coordinating Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  Look closely and you'll see a tiny Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper heart over the stamped heart patch, created with the Owl Builder Punch.

Mr. Scarecrow is popped up with Dimensionals onto a banner created with the Banners Framelits and Old Olive & Crumb Cake card stock.  She added a little Halloween Night Washi Tape along the top for a fun, colorful element!

Greeting—Debbie finished her card with a phrase she created with the Thoughtful Banners stamp set, stamped in Pumpkin Pie onto Crumb Cake scrap.  She stamped a Memento Black Ink banner over the top from the same set, then punched it with the Duet Banners Punch. It's layered over an Old Olive banner shape from the same punch, then finished with a Halloween Night Enamel Dot.

Cookie Cutter Halloween Hardwood Scarecrow Card

Today's second card uses many of the same tools for another fun scarecrow card!

Background Basics—Ink the Hardwood background stamp in Crumb Cake ink, then stamp on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  Sponge the edges with the same ink and adhere to the Crumb Cake card base. Emboss a 4" x 2" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock with the Woodgrain embossing folder and adhere to the card front.

Circle Backdrop—Die-cut the Pacific Point scalloped circle and Halloween Night Designer Series Paper with the Layering Circles Framelits and adhere together.  Trim 4" piece of Burlap Ribbon ends on the diagonal and adhere to the back of the circle with Multipurpose Glue.  Pop up the circle element with Dimensionals.

Scarecrow—Stamp scarecrow in Archival Black Ink and color with Stampin' Write Markers and an Aqua Painter.  Color the markers on a non-porous surface for the palette and pick up the color with the Aqua Painter.  The scarecrow is colored with Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Pacific Point, Delightful Daffodil and Crumb Cake colors.  Punch with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and pop up with more Dimensionals. Adhere a Linen Thread bow with a Glue Dot.

Sweet Sentiment—Stamp Here For You greeting in Soft Suede onto a 3" x 1/2" strip of Whisper White card stock and fishtail the end.  Pop up with Dimensionals.

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
