I got a chance to see lots of fabulous cards at my Too Cool Demo Team meeting last week. Here are a few of my favorites!
This card, created by Carmen DeBruce features the Flower Folds Die. All the petals fold up and are tied with ribbon. You can find a complete tutorial at Anne Harada's blog Everlasting Ink.
Carmen also showed us this card and it made my jaw drop! All of those sweet pea flowers are sculpted out of card stock! Wow! The background is embossed with the Petals A Plenty Impressions Folder.
Shirley Meyer shared this beautiful card featuring the Mostly Vintage Stencil sprayed with Gold Glow Smootch Spritz. Love it!
This is another pretty card by Shirley. She used the Jewelry Tag Punch to create the fence posts—very creative! I really like the way she layered the 5-Petal Flowers punched out of decorative paper and vellum. The small flowers are punched with the retiring Trio Flower punch. Background paper is retiring Cottage Wall Designer Paper. Leaves are Little Leaves Sizzlit die-cuts in Garden Green.
Darla Eigenschink used the Fifth Avenue Floral set with the Watercolor Splash technique to create this lovely card. The de-bossed textured background is made with the Manhattan Flowers Impressions Folder. Learn more about how to make this style of card at my Watercolor Splash post.
Michelle Hoover showed us this wonderful Father's Day Card using the Michelle Zindorf brayer technique in this tutorial. She used some sponging, masking and brayering to create the horizon and sky, then stamped the tree from Nature Silhouettes in Chocolate Chip. The background uses retiring To The Nines Designer Paper and the sentiment is from All Holidays. Accented with Mini Library Clips.
Thanks to Carmen, Shirley, Darla and Michelle for allowing me to share your projects on my blog. We saw many other fantastic projects, but unfortunately, my camera wasn't cooperating (it couldn't have been operator error!). I can't wait to see what projects everyone will bring to share at the next meeting on June 28!
