Carmen DeBruce recently created this totally awesome spinner easel card and I had to share it!
She CASEd a project that is shown at Sharon's Scrappy Space: check out the Butterfly Spinning Easel Card – Part 1 and Part 2 videos for details on how to make your own!
The butterflies are made of Vellum Card Stock and are die-cut with the Beautiful Butterflies Die. I love how she add a hint of green color at the center of the butterfly. Carmen loves her some glitter, so it's no surprise that this butterfly is outlined with a 2-Way Glue Marker and Dazzling Diamonds for lots of sparkle!
Carmen also showed us how easy it was to create the fun cloud background by sponging Bashful Blue over the top of a Scallop Circle punch, starting at the top of your card stock piece and working down. Try it! It certainly creates the perfect backdrop for the spinning butterfly!
The circle window can be cut with one of the Sizzix Circle Dies, or with the Circle Scissors Plus. The butterfly is attached with fishing line (or you could use dental floss).
What a beautful interactive card! I love, love, love this idea! It reminds me of my own Spinning Butterflies Card that I posted about last year.
Thanks for sharing your lovely project idea, Carmen!
