Today, I'm sharing one of the three Carols of Christmas card designs from my September Countdown To Christmas class! The kit makes 12 cards total: 4 each of 3 styles!

Carols of Christmas Deck The Halls Joy Fold Cards
The extra-large phrases from the Carols of Christmas stamp set and the beautiful Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Papers lend themselves to the fun, joy-fold card style! I had so much fun mixing & matching the papers and stamped accents! I kept with the Old Olive, Basic Black & Whisper White color scheme, but you could very easily add in some Cherry Cobbler ribbon or accents to create a more traditional Christmas look!
Background Basics—The base of this "joy-fold" card style is two separate pieces. The first larger Basic Black card base measures 9" x 4-1/4" and is scored along the 9" side at the 3-1/2" mark. The second smaller Basic Black card base is 8" x 3" and is scored at the 4" mark and is mounted on the first card base opening in the opposite direction.
Card Base Décor—I decorated the front flap of the smaller card with a 3-1/4" x 4" piece of Merry Little Christmas polka dot paper, and I added a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of the snowflake pattern from the same pack on the inside card.
Sentiment Focal Point—I stamped the Carols of Christmas phrase in Memento Black ink onto a 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Whisper White for the focal point. Next, I used an Old Olive and Black marker to color two of the hanging ornament images on the rubber, then stamp the two-color image on the side of the words. I used a second hanging ornament image for the other side.
Finishing Touches—I added some of the Black Rhinestones around the ornaments for some sparkly goodness. I finished by mounting the stamped layer onto the smaller card base with fold opening to the right this time.
Mounting The Joy Card—The smaller card was then mounted to the center of the inside of the larger card base with some Tear & Tape. I added a 3-3/4" x 2-3/4" Whisper White writing layer, also stamped with the hanging ornaments. This fold is so easy & fun!
Two Cool—I switched up the Merry Little Christmas paper patterns on this second version.
Three Cool—This version uses more patterns from the Designer Series Paper pack and I stamped poinsettias for the decoration.
Four Cool—The final card has holly leaves for the accents, colored with Old Olive & Real Red markers. This time, I added the Black Rhinestones at the bottom.
This is a fantastic card design for stamping multiples! There's minimal stamping, lots of pretty papers and it has an interesting opening that recipients love! Come & make these cards with me this month!
