Hi Stamping Friends!
Today, I've got another cute card idea from my Kickoff Party a couple weeks ago. I think this one is fun for both kids and adults!
The cards feature the Cheerful Critters stamp set, which comes with three critters—a bear, chick and rabbit—all holding signs.

It's so much fun mixing & matching the phrases with the characters! Hey Moms—kids could make some really cute Valentine's Day or Easter cards with these and have so much fun coloring them!
I couldn't resist starting with the bears, since I used to be an avid Teddy Bear collector!
Background Basics—I started with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White, then added a 4" x 3/4" piece of Bermuda Bay across the bottom. That layer is adhered to the Night of Navy card base.
Confetti Paper—Next, I added another colorful background element with a strip of 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" Birthday Bash confetti patterned paper. It's matted on a piece of 2" x 5-1/4" Calypso Coral card stock.
Coloring The Critter—I stamped the Cheerful Critters bear image in Memento Black Ink onto Whisper White card stock, then colored him in with the Blendabilities Markers. I used Night of Navy and Calypso Coral for the stripes of his shirt and Crumb Cake for the bear himself. His ears and muzzle are colored with Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Markers. I only I had the Skin Tones Blendabilities assortment, it would have worked perfectly here.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Cheerful Critters "happy day" phrase inside the sign, then outlined the sign with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Marker. I punched some stars from Night of Navy card stock with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, then adhered one of them to the sign with Multipurpose Glue.
Circle Focal Point—The bear image was die-cut with the 2-3/8" Circles Collection Framelits. I matted the stamped circle onto a 2-1/2" Circle Punch of Night of Navy card stock. That was then mounted on a 2-3/4" Starburst Framelits die-cut shape and popped up with Dimensionals onto the card front.
More Stars Accents—I finished off the bottom border with a few more stars punched from the Confetti Stars Border Punch. Did you notice that they match the stars in the Birthday Bash confetti DSP? They do!
My horizontal version is a fun "congratulations" card featuring the chick image.
I colored the chick with the Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Blendabilities Markers. The sign was outlined in the lightest color of Night of Navy. Isn't he darling? Love these cute little critters!
