Cheerful Daisies You Made My Day Class Card
Today's Cheerful Daisies class card spotlights the rich and earthy Pebbled Path In Color. I love how this color pairs with so many brighter colors to really make them pop! It looks amazing with the new Lemon Lolly on this card, don't you think?
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper onto a Pebbled Path traditional card base. Next, I added a 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Pebbled Path cardstock that I embossed with the new Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. Oooh…I love that distressed look!
Focal Point Foundation—I stamped a Cheerful Daisies leaves in Garden Green and stamped-off Garden Green onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut. I also stamped a few extra leaves on Basic White scrap cardstock and die-cut them to tuck under the flowers later. Try different looks by doing only stamped leaves, or only die-cut leaves, or use a combination like I did here. The circle is mounted onto the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Delightful Daisies—I stamped the large and small solid Cheerful Daisies flower images in Lemon Lolly and die-cut those with the Cheerful Daisies Dies. I stamped the coordinating flower centers with Crushed Curry ink and die-cut those, as well. I adhered the centers to the flowers with SEAL, then popped up the daisies onto the circle with Dimensionals. I finished by tucking in a few die-cut leaves with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I stamped a Cheerful Daisies sentiment in Pebbled Path onto a 3" x 3/8" strip of Lemon Lolly cardstock. I trimmed the edges at a diagonal, then popped that up with Mini Dimensionals. I finished with a couple of the cool In Color Dots in Pebbled Path. So lovely!
Cheerful Daisies You Made My Day Swap Card
Monica Giberti's card was the inspiration for my class card above. I loved the circle focal point on her card and used that as a basis for my Pebbled Path version.
Background Basics—Monica started by texture embossing a 3-3/4" x 4-3/4" piece of Crushed Curry cardstock with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. She mounted that onto a traditional Garden Green card base. She added a 2" x 4" piece of Fresh As A Daisy DSP to the card front to finishe the background.
Focal Point Foundation—Monica used the same Basic White Stylish Shapes circle die-cut as the foundation, stamping three Garden Green leaves around the edges. Before adhering the circle, she added a loop of the new Copper Clay Textured Ribbon behind it.
Delightful Daisies—Monica's flowers are a two-step look with Crushed Curry for the outline images and Lemon Lolly for the solid, inner images. Hers are die-cut and popped up, too.
Finishing Touches—She finished by stamping the same sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto a Wild Wheat 2-1/4" x 1/2" strip and popped it up. She finished with a single Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gem. Pretty!
