It may be July, but you know that the holidays sneak up on us before we know it! In fact, just last week I was filling out the paperwork for two of my upcoming holiday craft fairs! And, in less than a month, on August 1, demonstrators will have the chance to pre-order from the new Holiday Catalog. I'll actually get a sneak peek of the new Holiday Catalog in just 2 weeks while I'm on the Alaska Incentive Cruise.

It doesn't hurt to do a little planning for our Christmas projects, especially when there is an awesome Designer Series Paper special on right now! Today, I'm sharing a couple of swap cards I received featuring the festive Under The Mistletoe holiday paper. It's one of the featured papers in the Buy 2, Get 1 FREE DSP promotion!

Under The Mistletoe Cards

We'll have lots of new holiday stamps, papers and embellishments coming in our annual Holiday Catalog in September, but until then, our Annual Catalog has some Christmas-themed items to give us a head start. The Under The Mistletoe DSP make it easy to create a pretty, colorful holiday card!

Stamped Basics—This card begins with a Real Red card base. A 3/4" x 4-7/8" strip of Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper was adhered to a piece of 3-5/8" x 4-7/8" Whisper White cardstock. The Mistletoe Season mistletoe image is stamped in Shaded Spruce onto the top right of the layer. The bow's outline image is stamped in Shaded Spruce, then the solid bow image is stamped over the top in Real Red. The greeting is stamped in Real Red at the bottom.

Layers—The stamped layer is mounted onto a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shaded Spruce. Next, a 1/8" Real Red Ribbon was added down the edge of the DSP and the ends were secured onto the back. The layer was popped up with Dimensionals.

Sweet Accents—The bow was brushed with some Wink of Stella clear shimmer and a couple of Red Rhinestones were added to look like berries! Perfect!

Background Basics—This fun-fold card begins with a 9-3/4" x 4-1/4" Shaded Spruce card base, scored at the 4-1/4" mark. The front was decorated with a 4" x 4" square of Under The Mistletoe DSP. The inside edge that shows on the front is decorated with a 1" x 4" piece of coordinating Under The Mistletoe paper. Some Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon is wrapped around the card front and secured under the sentiment.

Sweet Sentiment—The Mistletoe Season sentiment was stamped in Real Red onto a punched 2-1/4" Circle. The bow was stamped in Shaded Spruce with a Real Red stamped fill onto scrap Whisper White, then hand-cut and topped with a Rhinestone Jewel. I love the layers behind the circle including Shaded Spruce and Dazzling Diamonds die-cuts using the Foliage Frame Framelits. There is also a half of a pretty Pearlized Doily in there, too!

Inside The Card—Another image from the Mistletoe Season is stamped on the inside in Shaded Spruce along with another sentiment in Real Red. So cute!
