As a little thank you to those who attend, I create a handmade gift or treat that they find at their place-setting. This month, I created a Merci Chocolates treat holder with the Coffee Café suite of products! I have all the details on this cute project below.

Coffee Café Merci Chocolates Treat Holders

I found this adorable little coffee-themed treat and I knew it would be perfect for my team treats this month! The project was created by Angela Pyjas at Stamping With Amore and it is nearly an exact CASE of her project. Too cute and very quick to make, too!

Treat Holder Basics—The holder begins with a 2-1/2" x 6-3/4" piece of Soft Sky, scored along the side at the 4-1/4" x 4-3/4" marks. I added a 2-1/4" x 1-3/4" piece of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper to the front panel of the holder.

Die-Cut Panel—I love how Angela used the "lid" die from the Coffee Cups Framelits to create the rounded top of the back panel. First you adhere a 2-1/4" x 4" piece of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper to that panel, then run it through the Big Shot, taking care not to cut with the framelit on the bottom side, like this…

Position the die as close to the top of the panel as possible. When adding the top cutting plate, align the edge of it so that it is just inside the bottom edge of the die. That way, when it's run through the Big Shot, there will not be any pressure on that edge, and no cuts! Use Paper Snips to trim both edges where they are still attached. How clever!

Ribbon Closure—Secure the package closed by tying Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon around the holder, trimming the ends into a "faux bow."

Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Coffee Café phrase in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White card stock, then die-cut it using the Stitched Shapes oval. It's popped up with Dimensionals.

Mini Coffee Cup—Isn't that tiny coffee cup accent adorable? It's die-cut from the the Coffee Break DSP using one of the framelits from the bundle! How cool is that? I added a Dimensional under one side and SNAIL on the overlapping part.

Thanks—I thought the top needed a little something, so I stamped the oval sentiment in Pear Pizzazz onto Whisper White card stock and die-cut it with the Coffee Cup Framelits. It's also popped up.

Merci Chocolates—The holder is designed to hold three Merci Chocolates. I found assorted 16-packs at my local Target, but you can find them online at several places. I love that the chocolates have decadent flavors like hazelnut-almond, cream truffle, praline-creme and dark cream. A perfect combination with coffee!
