Hi Stamping Friends!

I recently received a card from one of my stamping friends that took my breath away and I had to share it with you!

CASEd a Convention Make & Take.

Trisha Noyes was inspired to create this beautiful card by a make & take project from last year's Convention. She added some fun elements of her own to step it up a notch, too!

Background Basics—The original project used the Honeycomb embossing folder and ink to transfer print a "stamped" hexagon background.  Trisha didn't have that folder, so she used her Hexagon Hive Thinlit as a mask to sponge on some Baked Brown Sugar ink on the 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" Whisper White layer.

The Kinda Eclectic set is designed for creating easy, amazing layers.  Sometimes stampers are a little intimidated by all those layers, but it's easy to duplicate this effect when you take it step-by-step.

Focal Point Foundation—Trisha started her layers by stamping the big Kinda Eclectic starburst in Baked Brown Sugar positioning it just above where she wanted her focal point to be.

Next, she stamped the leaves image in Mossy Meadow to create a foliage foundation for the sentiment focal point.  Looks like she stamped in full strength ink first, then again without inking. She repeated that on the top and bottom of the focal point area.

Sweet Sentiment—Trisha added a Kinda Eclectic greeting, stamped in Mossy Meadow onto a 2-3/4" x 1" piece of Baked Brown Sugar.  The piece was also stamped with the dots image in Baked Brown Sugar and the left end was fish-tailed with Paper Snips.

Flower Frills—Now that the background and sentiment are in place, it's time to start adding some fun accents!  Trisha started with three pretty Baked Brown Sugar flowers from the Something To Say stamp set. They are punched with the coordinating flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack and topped with tiny Pearl Jewels.  They are adhered with Glue Dots.  So sweet!

Butterfly Accents—Her card was finished with three pretty Kinda Eclectic butterflies…my favorite part!  Both are stamped in the rich, Blackberry Bliss color.  The larger butterfly is punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and topped with Rhinestone Jewels, and the smaller butterfly is punched with the Bitty Butterfly Punch.  They are adhered with Glue Dots.

Trish kinda eclectic - 5 cool

Twine Texture—She finished off the card with a double-wrap of Gold Baker's Twine to pick up the golden Baked Brown Sugar color!  The perfect touch!

Inside & Envelope Details—Don't forget to add some decoration to the inside of your card and to the envelope.  Trisha stamped more Mossy Meadow leaves and a Blackberry Bliss bitty butterfly on the corners for a very coordinated, finished look.
