Abstract Impressions Flowers Were Hugs Cards
One thing I love about this Abstract Impressions card design is that there aren't a lot of layers. The stamped flowers provide such a pretty focal point that you don't need much more than a sentiment added for a delightful little card! Peggy Tassler and I each created a version in different colors to showcase some of the new Color Revamp colors!
Marvelous Mango—Peggy Tassler created this pretty Abstract Impressions card featuring new colors Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana. I love how it turned out! This card will be one of the 8 handmade cards that my Color Revamp Club participants receive in their club kits!
Beautiful Blooms—Peggy started by stamping the Abstract Impressions solid image flowers in stamped-off Mango Melody randomly along the left and top of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Next, she stamped the detailed rose image over the top in full-strength Mango Melody. She added some small leaves in stamped-off Granny Apple Green on each flower, then filled in some of the blank spaces with the smaller flowers in stamped-off Coastal Cabana ink.
Amazing Accents—Before mounting the stamped layer onto the Granny Apple Green card base, Peggy wrapped some Linen Thread around it and tied it into a bow. Once it was adhered to the card front, she also added a few floating Rhinestone Jewels.
Sweet Sentiment—The Abstract Impressions sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. It was die-cut with a handy little label shape from the Lakeside Framelits, then popped up with Dimensionals.
Two Cool—I created a second version of this card by pairing the darker Gorgeous Grape and Poppy Parade with Granny Apple Green. I used mostly full-strength stamping, so this card has a much darker look than Peggy's stamped off version. They are both so pretty!
Darker Colors—I stamped the solid roses in stamped-off Gorgeous Grape, then added the details in full-strength Gorgeous Grape. The small flowers are in full-strength Poppy Parade and the leaves are in full-strength Granny Apply Green.
