Colorful Seasons Falling Leaves Cards
The Colorful Seasons stamp set is the perfect go-to set for ALL seasons, but I especially love the autumn leaves! The combination of the solid leaves and outline or "skeleton" leaves are perfect for stamping layered backgrounds! And, this card design is super-simple, so it's perfect for making multiples to have on hand.

Layered Leaves—The stamped layer starts with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. First, I stamped the Colorful Seasons larger solid maple leaf three times in Pumpkin Pie ink across the card diagonally, rotating the image each time. Next, I added in some small solid maple leaves on either side of the larger leaf in Pear Pizzazz.
I finished the background by stamping the larger skeleton leaf in Fresh Fig ink, filling in the gaps and overlapping some of the solid leaves. LOVE this look!
Background Basics—I adhered the stamped layer onto a Fresh Fig vertically cut, 4-1/4" x 11" card base, folded in half. I wrapped some Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon around the card front, tied it into a double-knot and trimmed.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Colorful Seasons sentiment in Fresh Fig onto Whisper White card stock, then die-cut it with the Stitched Shapes circle framelit. It's popped up over the ribbon with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—My favorite part of this card are the little colorful dew-drops courtesy of the Glitter Enamel Dots! Some of the Crushed Curry dots are orange enough to look great with Pumpkin Pie. Too Cool!
Two Cool—I tried a horizontal version for my second card, changing the card base to Early Espresso.
This time, I stamped the large leaves in Crushed Curry, the small leaves in Pear Pizzizz and the outline leaves in Cajun Craze. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso to match the card base.
