Hi Stamping Friends!

It's taken a little longer than usual, but the beautiful fall foliage is near full color here in Indiana! It reminded me of the beautiful Sheltering Tree stamp set! You can stamp the tree for any season, but it is especially perfect for showcasing the spectacular colors of autumn!

Today, I'll be sharing two fantastic fall project sheets featuring this glorious tree set! This is a must-have set for any season!

Autumn Sheltering Tree Thinking of You Card

I love using markers in all the colors of autumn on the pretty Sheltering Tree image. This card uses the Thumping Technique, where you simply bounce the tip of your Stampin' Write Marker directly onto the stamp to create dots of color. It's perfect for fall foliage!

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Stamp Sheltering Tree with Early Espresso ink onto 3-1/4” x 4-1/2” Whisper White card stock.
Use markers on 'foliage' image, tapping the colors onto the stamp until fully inked (Real Red, Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze). Stamp over tree.
Ink 'grass/ground' image with Old Olive and stamp at base of tree. Repeat as desired.
Wrap Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon around Whisper White card stock, secure on the back.
Glue Chicken Wire element behind the Whisper White layer and adhere to front of Crumb Cake card base.
Stamp sentiment in Real Red ink onto scrap piece of Whisper White and cut into banner. Use Glue Dot to position on card.
Die-cut a small Silver Foil maple leaf with Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Emboss die-cut with Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder and pop up with Dimensionals.
Tie a small knot with Braided Linen Trim, fraying the edges. Attach to leaf with Glue Dot.
Use aqua painter with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink pads to splatter card.

Sheltering Tree Thankful In Reds Card

Don't you love it when a tree turns a brilliant red in the fall?! This card captures the beauty of those spectacular trees in full color!

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Emboss 3-3/4” x 2-1/2” Merry Merlot cardstock with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.
Stamp the Sheltering Tree on Watercolor Paper with Early Espresso ink.
Stamp Sheltering Tree leaves onto the Watercolor Paper by inking it once and stamping 3-4 times to create varying shades of the Merry Merlot ink.
Use Early Espresso ink to stamp the “ground” under the tree.
To create the watercolor effect, take an Aqua Painter and use it to watercolor blend the Merry Merlot ink. Tip: Don’t use too much water and try to only add water to the leaves and not the tree. Set aside and let dry.
Stamp greeting in Merry Merlot onto Very Vanilla cardstock.
Tie a knot in Nature’s Twine Crumb Cake twine, adhere ends to back with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Adhere Merry Merlot cardstock to Early Espresso card base using Team & Tape Adhesive.
Adhere greeting to Watercolor Paper; then attach layer to card using Dimensionals.
