Here's another pretty card you can create with the pretty Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. I've been featuring this paper all week and I love what Carrie Todd did with it on her card!
Background Basics—Carrie began with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Hand-Penned DSP. To create the fold-back feature, she cut a slit in the center of the paper approximately 2" long and folded back the corners. The DSP is adhered to a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Mint Macaron, then mounted onto a Thick Basic White card base.
Sweet Sentiment—Carrie stamped a Pansy Patch sentiment in Mint Macaron ink onto a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die-cut. It's popped up over them middle of the fold-back feature.
Finishing Touches—Carrie added a Pale Papaya Genial Gem to the sentiment, then tied a bow with Pale Papaya & White Ribbon and attached it above the sentiment label with a Glue Dot. So quick and pretty!
Swap card created by Janey Backer.
Pansy Petals Picture This Circle Card
Last week, I shared a two fun Picture This peekaboo cards with Turtle Friends and Party Puffins. Here's another fun way to use the Picture This dies and feature lovely patterns of DSP!
Circle Background—Janey Backer die-cut a 4" x 5-1/4" Evening Evergreen with the circle Picture This dies and mounted it onto a Fresh Freesia card base. Then, she die-cut some different patterns of the Pansy Petals DSP with the same die to create die-cuts to fill in the circles. Because of all of the circles that will be created, you could easily create a whole stack of similar cards and fill in different DSP patterns of circles on each card. She selected the three Pansy Petals gingham patterns, along with a coordinating floral print from that pack.
Sweet Sentiment—Janey stamped a Pansy Patch sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a 3-1/4" x 1/2" strip of Basic White and snipped the ends at an angle. She folded some Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon under the sentiment, adhering it with SEAL Adhesive, then popped up the sentiment over the top with Dimensionals.
