Cool Treats Sweet Day Gift Card Holder
The Cool Treats suite of products is all about celebrating a special day with frozen treats theme! Along with fun birthday cards, we'll also be creating two gift card holders at the event! I love this easy-to-assemble, double-pocket gift card holder that is made with a Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bag!
Holder Basics—I started by using my Simply Scored tool to score the Kraft Gift Bag about 3" from the bottom, then I folded up that part to create a staggered, double-pocket foundation. Next, I cut a 2" x 10" strip from the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper and wrapped it around the bag with the ends meeting in the front center. I adhered the end with SNAIL.
Frozen Treats—I stamped the first popsicle in Peekaboo Peach ink onto Whisper White card stock, then stamped over it again with the coordinating striped image, also in Peekaboo Peach. For more contrast, stamp off the ink once on the popsicle image, then full strength with the stripes. The second one is stamped in Pool Party. I die cut the image with the Frozen Treats Framelits, then added some shimmery Wink of Stella clear to make them look extra-delicious!
Next, I stamped the popsicle handles in Crumb Cake ink onto a Whisper White Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die-cut. I popped the popsicles up with Dimensionals over the top. That layer is mounted onto a Watermelon Wonder scallop circle with the Layering Circles Framelits, then popped up with more Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—I finished the front by adding a Cool Treats sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto a 3-1/2" x 3/8" strip of Whisper White card stock. I used my super-sharp Paper Snips to fishtail the ends.
Double-Pockets—The front pocket has a plain 4-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock, rounded at the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch. You can use Fast Fuse or Glue Dots to adhere the gift card onto this piece, or use it to write a message to the recipient. The back pocket holds a 4-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock, with the corners rounded. I added some matching Tasty Treats Washi Tape along the top, and some Watermelon Wonder striped tape at the bottom, then stamped the Cool Treats birthday greeting in Early Espresso.
