Cottage Rose Sponged Feel Better Card
I love the soft look of this "get well" card from my Cottage Rose LIVE Class. Supplies to make this card will be included in your LIVE Class Kit!
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 2" x 5-1/2" piece of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper to a Petal Pink card base. Next, I laid down a strip of SEAL Adhesive along the edge of the DSP, then adhered a strip of Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon down it. I trimmed the ends flush with the edges of the card.
Sponged Focal Point—I stamped the Cottage Rose sentiment in Crumb Cake ink onto a 2-3/4" x 4-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. I started with the sentiment, so that I could easily position the rest of the images. I stamped the Cottage Rose flower at the bottom and added some leaves along the edges, again in Crumb Cake ink. To color the images, I used Sponge Daubers, lightly adding Petal Pink to the flower and Soft Sea Foam to the leaves. This is not a precise coloring method! The look is soft and the color doesn't always fully cover the image or can go outside the lines.
I mounted the stamped layer onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that has been die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies. It's popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I used the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Marker to add color to Iridescent Pearl Jewels to create some matching shiny embellishments.

Cottage Rose Sponged Best Wishes Card
I received this stunning card from Suzanne Taylor in a recent card swap. I love her use of sponging and masking on the background! So amazing! This card is not included in the Class Kit.
Background Basics—Suzanne started by laying an Artistic Mix Mask over a 3-7/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Basic White. Then, she used the super-soft Blending Brushes to lightly add Flirty Flamingo across the card diagonally from bottom left to top right. The result is a beautiful masked, uninked pattern that remains. She mounted that onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black, then mounted those layers onto a vertically-folded Flirty Flamingo card base: 4-1/8" x 11", scored at the 5-1/2" mark.
Sponged Focal Point—Suzanne stamped the Cottage Rose floral image, along with two leaves, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White. She used Blending Brushes to add Flirty Flamingo ink to the rose and Soft Succulent ink to the leaves, then die-cut the images with the Cottage Flowers Dies. The leaves are adhered directly to the background with SEAL Adhesive and the flower is popped up with Dimensionals.
Sweet Sentiment—She stamped Cottage Rose sentiment in Memento Black onto Basic White and die cut it into a pretty label shape with the Natural Prints Dies. It's popped up, too. She finished by adding a few Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels around the card front.
Inside The Card—I love how Suzanne finished the inside of the card! She used the mask and Blending Brush once again for a softer masked pattern. Then, she stamped the smaller Cottage Rose flower and sponged on some Flirty Flamingo color to make it pop. So lovely!
