I received this beautiful & clever card from Mary Anne Grimmer. I just adore the way she used the elements from the Country Woods Suite to make this fun easel card! This is how the card looks closed and it’s completely mailable!

When you open the card, you can tuck the bottom of the birdhouse into the pedestal element to create the stand-up easel. What a fun way to display this pretty card!

Mary Anne began with a 6″ x 1-1/8″ piece of Basic Beige cardstock, scored at the 2″ and 4″ marks. She folded at the score lines, then adhered the last panel only to a Basic Beige card base (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″). She adhered a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper to the card front to cover the strip.

To create the kickstand element, the stopper that the birdhouse rests upon, she die-cut a Basic Black pedestal using the Country Birdhouse Dies and popped it up flush with the bottom of the card with Mini Dimensionals.

On the front, Mary Anne first added another piece of the Country Woods DSP, measuring 1-1/8″ x 2″, onto the folded strip to camouflage it.

For the birdhouse, she first stamped the Country Birdhouse image onto the Country Woods DSP, then die-cut it with the Country Birdhouse coordinating die. She die-cut the birdhouse hole opening at the same time. Next, she die-cut a roof, scalloped roof line and birdhouse bottom from more Country Woods DSP, along with a roofline trim in Petal Pink cardstock.

She die-cut a second birdhouse shape from Basic Black for a foundation, then assembled all of the pieces to make the house using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It’s mounted onto the 2″ strip end, so it can be easily popped up for display.

Mary Anne die-cut some Soft Sea Foam Country Flowers Dies leaves and adhered those with Liquid Glue. She also stamped some Country Birdhouse flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Basic White cardstock and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers in Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. She attached those with Dimensionals.

She finished up by stamping a Country Birdhouse greeting in Misty Moonlight ink onto Basic Beige cardstock, fussy cutting around it and popping it up onto the house with more Dimensionals. She also added a single Basic Gray Pearl to signify the perch. So adorable!

My team member Sue Heins created this sweet gate-fold card, also featuring the Country Birdhouse Bundle.

Sue’s card begins with a Petal Pink card base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at the 2-1/2″ and 6-3/4″ marks. She embossed a 1-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Petal Pink with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder and mounted that onto the front panel of the same size. On the other panel, she adhered a 2-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Country Woods DSP.

Sue started with a Petal Pink Country Birdhouse die-cut foundation, then added die-cut house, roof and bottom cut from Country Woods DSP. She also added a Basic Beige scalloped roofline die-cut. And, of course, her birdhouse has the opening cut out to see the Petal Pink foundation. She assembled all of the layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Sue stamped the bird in Memento Black onto Smoky Slate cardstock, die-cut it with Country Birdhouse Dies and adhered it to the birdhouse. She also die-cut some Old Olive leaves and Calypso Coral flowers to decorate the house. She finished with a few Iridescent Pearls shiny accents.

Sue stamped a birthday sentiment in Basic Gray ink from Country Birdhouse onto a 2-1/4″ x 3/8″ piece of Country Woods DSP and adhered it at the top. Just lovely!

I love how she finished the card! She die-cut a Basic White layer from Perennial Postage Dies, sponged some Petal Pink ink on the edges and finished with a Country Birdhouse sentiment in Memento Black.
