Country Flowers Heartfelt Sympathy Card
I’m truly in love with the Country Woods Suite of products and I couldn’t wait to share it with you as part of my class schedule. The suite features two amazing bundles that coordinate so well together. I’m going to focus on just one of the bundles, Country Flowers, to keep the class supplies list simple and a little less expensive. Of course, the Country Birdhouse is still a highly recommended addition!
Background Basics
The first card from my upcoming class is this sweet sympathy card spotlighting some of the lovely die-cuts from the Country Flowers Dies. I started with a 8-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Gray Granite cardstock, scored at the 3-1/4″ mark. On the front, I adhered a 3″ x 4″ piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper. Ooooh…I love that DSP! All of the cool wood textures and colors make excellent backgrounds and are just perfect for creating birdhouses!
I also embossed a 2″ x 4″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that onto the inside part of the card that shows.
Focal Point Foundation
I stamped a few of the sweet decorative elements from the Country Flowers stamp set in Basic Beige ink onto a 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White. It’s adhered onto a 3-3/4″ x 3″ piece of Gray Granit and mounted onto the front card panel with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped a Country Flowers sentiment in Memento Black Ink onto a 2-3/4″ x 1″ piece of Basic Beige. I banner-cut the end and adhered it to the focal point background.
Sweet Floral Jug
I used the Country Flowers Dies to die-cut a Copper Clay jug, Pebbled Path jug handles, Old Olive leaves and Petal Pink flowers. I assembled them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then used my light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends to color in the flower centers. I mounted the jug onto the card with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I tied a little Linen Thread bow and attached it to the jug with a Glue Dot. I finished with some copper colored Metallic Gems. Just lovely.
Inside The Card
I stamped more of the decorative elements in Basic Beige on the inside 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ Basic White writing layer.
Karin’s Country Flowers Sympathy Card
I was sent this pretty Country Flowers sympathy swap card from Karin Braxton. I’m just loving the colors and sparkle on this card!
Background Basics
Karin’s card has a similar opening as mine, starting with a 8-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock, scored at the 2-3/4″ mark. The front is decorated with a 2-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Country Woods DSP. On the inside, she has a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White, decorated on the end with a 1″ x 4″ strip of the same Country Woods DSP pattern.
Fantastic Focal Point
Karin stamped the Country Woods teapot and flowers in Memento Black ink onto a 3-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ piece of Basic White. She colored the image in with Stampin’ Blends Markers: Pool Party for the tea kettle, Flirty Flamingo for the flowers, Lemon Lolly for the smaller buds and Old Olive for the leaves. She also added some Wink of Stella shimmer to the teapot and flowers…a nice touch!
Finally, she stamped the Country Flowers sentiment in Memento Black ink and adhered the layer onto a 3-3/4″ x 3″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock. It’s attached to the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Country Flowers set has turned out to be a great set.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful cards.
